In Remembrance of our dear Friend, Colleague and Teacher on his Birthday1.12.1965 - 13.5.2019We were deeply saddened to hear that Stephen Friday, Management Committee Member, supporter of LFSS, solicitor, husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away in May 2019. Stephen played a major role in the development and growth of our Saturday School for over 25 years. He worked tirelessly to ensure that we were able to continue our work in the community and his voluntary work supported every aspect of the School. As a Trustee and Management Committee Member, he advised on the School’s direction and administration with his legal knowledge and expertise. Celebrating our 45th AnniversaryPreparations are underway for our 45th Anniversary extravaganza at The Dream Centre on Saturday 25th May 2019! Have you got your ticket yet? If not, call us!Fundraising RaffleIn the run up to our anniversary celebration, we are selling raffle tickets to raise money for the school. Prizes include a £40 One4all voucher, chocolates and wine. Black History Month Celebrations To celebrate Black History Month, our wonderful teachers and volunteers organised a special event with performances from our students, including a quiz and a fantastic rendition of Maya Angelou's poem Life Doesn't Frighten Me by our Year 1s & 2s. Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) - Saturday 24 November 2018 We were delighted to have our AGM attended by so many Parents/Carers, who were engaged and enthusiastic about the future of our school. We elected a new Chair, some new Parent Reps, and discussed new ideas for future projects. Parents/Carers - thank you for participating, we encourage you to continue taking an active part in supporting your child's learning and our local community by supporting the school.
